The Qur’an doesn’t show us a path to salvation. It leaves us unsure whether God will forgive us or not. It doesn’t explain how God can forgive while still being just. But the gospel is clear—Christ bore our sins; He died in our place to save us from death. This is beautiful. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. — Kamil Abdul Messiah
Kamil Abdul Messiah, a young Syrian trained in the Qur’an, found no rest until the Lord opened his heart through the Scriptures. Though rejected by his own people, he turned to Christ and gave himself to gospel labor, serving alongside Samuel Zwemer in reaching Muslims with the truth. His life was marked by humility, wisdom, and steadfast devotion to Christ. All due to his untimely death from poison, his earthly ministry was cut short, and he was buried under Muslim rites. Yet his writings endure, bearing witness that “the word of God is living and active” (Hebrews 4:12). His testimony stands as a reminder of the gospel’s power to save even in the hardest of fields.
This book is also known as, “The Setting of the Crescent and the Rising of the Cross”.
